Solar cooker failure
So our last solar cooker broke and falled. We are working on a new one now but my group mates aren't working on it because they have had a lot of make up work becuase they were sick. We haven't had a clear plan on what we are going to do. Our first solar cooker is going to be used for spare parts if we need it but we need a new desgin. We hope to make just a regular box cooker and make modifications. We only have about 3 more weeks until the cook out and we don't have any data on a solar cooker. Can anyone give me suggestions on what we should do?

Our solar cooker
Our design for our solar cooker has a strong wooden base with a long post which carries the tin foil panel. The design is larger than other solar cookers and can be hard to carry. However the design would be helpful to people in Hati so it won't blow away. It isn't complete yet but is close to it. The pot will be in a half cup carrier made of tin foil so the pot will heat faster.
You need to make the base a grid like base for stability. The post in the middle is removable or optional permanent. The two pieces of wood sticking out of the side of the post will angle the tin foil panel toward the pot where the half cup foil will be.

Solar cookers
This is a Panel oven. As you can see it is very cheap to make and takes a longer time to cook. The mirrors or tin foil help reflect the sun to the pot. This would be the one I would suggest for people who don't want to spend money. This could be used to slowly cook food and boil water. I think this would be the best choice for people in a third world country because it is cheap and does it's job well.
